Journal #5 Weyward, Weird, or Witch? The Destiny Question in Macbeth

Instructions

Think about the concept of FATE.

- Do you believe some things are fated to happen, no matter what? Or do you believe your actions can change the course of your life? Explain with an example from life.

- If you were having your fortune told, what questions might you ask?

- What about things like astrology, fortune cookies, or Buzzfeed quizzes...do you tend to disregard them as silly or do they hold some truths for you?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't think things are fated to happen. I believe that the decisions you make will affect how your life will go. For example, successful people made the decision to put in work and effort in order for them to be successful. Professional athletes don't just become professional athletes. They work to become professional athletes no matter what others say. Homeless people don't become homeless. They made decisions which unfortunately ends up with them losing a lot of resources.

If I was getting my fortune told, I would ask how I would die. I would also ask how I would be remembered when I die. Other things I would ask is if I will raise a family, get married, and more complicated questions. I am a curious person so I would be asking a lot of questions so I can get an image of what my life would actually be like.

I don't believe in things like astrology, fortune cookies, or Buzzfeed quizzes. I'll do quizzes for fun and read the fortune in a fortune cookie just because it is there. I do not take them serious.
